While promoting their new film, Sorry to Bother You, at the Sundance Film Festival, co-stars Tessa Thompson and Terry Crews addressed the current discourse around power and abuse in Hollywood. Tessa stated that the industry is “very much still in a white-male stronghold,” explaining, “whether or not we face abuse directly, I think that truth creates a culture where our voices are not heard.” Crews, who has been dealing with his own sexual-assault lawsuit against a former agent, added, “I feel it’s very important that these victories not be symbolic.” Watch the video above for the full conversation.
