In addition to directing standup specials, Bo Burnham made his feature directorial debut this year when his film Eighth Grade premiered at Sundance to rave reviews (and it currently boasts a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score), and today the trailer hit the internet. Starring Elsie Fisher, the movie centers on a 13-year-old named Kayla, who “endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school—the end of her thus far disastrous eighth grade year—before she begins high school.†The movie heads to theaters Friday, July 13th.
