Last month, after Terry Crews testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee about his sexual assault, 50 Cent proceeded to belittle Crewsâs assault in a since-deleted Instagram post. On Tuesday, 50 Cent appeared on The View and defended what he wrote ⌠by saying he didnât view Crews as an assault victim at the time. âI would never make fun of any sexual-assault victim,â he began. âI wasnât looking at Terry Crews that way at that point. Iâm looking at the Hulk, the guy thatâs this big [mimics Crewsâs muscular build] being taken advantage of.â He continued, âWhen the males that are here now, if you ask them if someone touched them without their consent, would they go, âYo, whatchu doing?â [Jerks back.] Nothing more but âWhatchu doing?â And in the Senate, when [Crews] was talking about it, he said he didnât even respond by doing that.â Whoopi Goldberg interjects, âBecause he was in shock.â 50 half-jokingly replies, âI wouldnât be prepared for that either. Yâall would be bailing me out.â The lesson here: Maybe donât expect an alleged abuser to have a nuanced opinion on abuse victims.
