Continuing her crusade against the celebrity beauty industrial complex, The Good Place’s Jameela Jamil tweeted her displeasure at Cardi B’s sponsored Instagram posts. “They got Cardi B on the laxative nonsense ‘detox’ tea,†she wrote. “GOD I hope all these celebrities all shit their pants in public.†Later in the thread, Jamil touted the benefits of green vegetables, bt then urged those looking to get healthier not to listen to celebrities at all. “Generally just don’t ever take diet advice from women who know nothing about nutrition/basic advertising ethics,†she tweeted. “IF you want to get healthier, talk to a trainer/doctor.†Jamil has become something of a one-woman Adbusters Magazine, recently going off against airbrushing, and again when Kim Kardiashian’s sponsored posts for appetite-suppressing lollipops.
Update 11/26: Instagram account Comments by Celebs spotted Cardi B’s response to the pants-shitting incident. Miss Belcalis would like everyone to know that she will NEVER shit her pants because “there’s public bathrooms everywhere … oooo and bushes.†So Cardi B will shit in public, but will also make sure she takes her pants off before it happens, thank you very much.
