Before we indulge Hollywood with celebrating the best films of 2018 at tomorrow night’s Oscars ceremony — and then subsequently binging them all for that sweet, sweet righteous feeling — we must first acknowledge the heaping turd bombs the industry also subjected us to last year. And thanks to the 39th Razzie Awards, those official “winners†are in, and allow us to extent our sincere apologies to the victors. Holmes & Watson racked up the most wins with worst picture, worst director, worst remake, ripoff, or sequel, and worst supporting actor for the otherwise dependable accomplice John C. Reilly.
Melissa McCarthy also proved victorious in the worst actress category for her duel work in the really terrible The Happytime Murders and slightly less terrible Life of the Party, while none other than our president, Donald Trump, won worst actor for Death of a Nation and Fahrenheit 11/9. Browse the complete winners losers list below while contemplating your hate-watch.
