As much as you love football, the real Super Bowl is truly the days-long release of new trailers for all this year’s most highly anticipated movies and television shows. Well, okay, so that’s not the real Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is the real Super Bowl. The trailers though, you have to admit, are definitely a close second. Enjoy this year’s crop below, including the new trailer for Jordan Peele’s Us and Marvel’s latest look at Avengers: Endgame.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame
Encouraging to see a superhero support group in the new Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame spot, because it looks like everyone really needs it. Previously slated for a May release, Endgame is apparently now arriving on April 26.
Us
“Coincidences? Since we’ve been up here, they’ve been happening more and more,†Lupita Nyong’o’s worried mom Adelaide muses in the new Us trailer. “It’s like there’s this black cloud hanging over us.†Luckily for us, her family does not follow their instincts and cut their vacation short. Us premieres on March 22.
Hobbs & Shaw
Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham team up to break every speed limit on the globe (and defeat Idris Elba) in their Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, which hits theaters on August 2, 2019.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Guillermo del Toro spent his Sunday teasing a series of mini-trailers for Scary Stories, which arrives in theaters this August. We’d say there’s never been a more horrifying big toe, but there are probably some grisly ones limping off the field after today’s game.
Hanna
The trailer for Amazon’s new series Hanna alerts Prime members that they can watch the first episode of the series after the Super Bowl. Use that. The show’s full season drops later, in March.
The Handmaid’s Tale
If you weren’t paying attention, The Handmaid’s Tale Super Bowl spot could be any other commercial, then they hit you with that new and improved Washington Monument. The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 is “coming soon†to Hulu.
Wonder Park
Wonder Park’s latest trailer brings you June, a little girl whose imagination brings an entire amusement park to life. Maybe they should have let her take a crack at that Maroon 5 halftime performance. Heyo! But seriously, Wonder Park hits theaters March 15.
Alita: Battle Angel
20th Century Fox is hoping their Super Bowl commercial will make your eyes as big as Alita’s, but without that tiny lingering bit of uncanny valley. Alita: Battle Angel bursts into theaters February 14.
Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel
Higher. Further. Faster. Baby. Captain Marvel arrives March 8.
The Twilight Zone
Do not adjust your set, phone, laptop, desk top and/or tablet. Jordan Peele stopped by the Super Bowl broadcast to give you a little War of the Worlds experience, opening a door mid-field to … the Twilight Zone. Hopefully, they’ll move that thing before someone plows into it. The Twilight Zone premieres April 1 on CBS All Access.
Toy Story 4
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s plush new characters continue to be the stars of Toy Story 4’s marketing campaign, but Buzz Lightyear is making them feel the pain in the film’s new Super Bowl spot. Toy Story 4 debuts on June 21.
Our Planet
Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Netflix’s Our Planet is the latest nature documentary to remind us that world is fully of beauty, wonder and an incredible number of variations on the whole “adorable monkey†theme. Our Planet arrives on April 5.
Game of Thrones
HBO teased the final season of Game of Thrones with a duel and a little help from Bud Light. Season 8 premieres April 14.
