Ahead of his second Saturday Night Live hosting gig, John Mulaney joined Colin Jost to give us all the juicy details about making “Diner Lobster,†perhaps the greatest SNL sketch of the 2010s. The boys discuss how, at the sketch’s first table read a decade ago, nobody laughed. It died a quick and brutal death, much like a lobster being cooked. But when Mulaney came back to host, they revived the sketch and it killed. They used the Tenth Anniversary Concert recording of Les Misérables for brainstorming, and when it eventually aired, they won an award from PETA!
