And we are officially off. After last week’s promising but ultimately not fully gaggy premiere, in week two, we had our best episode of the season so far (yes, we know that’s stupid) and possibly the best acting challenge … ever? And now What the Tuck, the first and only RuPaul’s Drag Race podcast (we know you just typed “drag race po†into Google, please stop, we promise it’s not a lie), is here for you, honey.
Our hosts — Vulture’s very own Drag Race recapper and one half of Las Culturistas, Matt Rogers, and Horny 4 Horror co-host Mano Agapion — are joined by stand-up comedian/onetime co-host of a little Drag Race podcast known as What the Tuck Joel Kim Booster to spill all the tea from Silky’s giant “Good God Girl, Get Out†teacup and answer all questions on your maybe not entirely natural laps. Questions like were the parodies offensive? Okay, they were definitely offensive, but which party exactly was offensive? Does the irreverence of drag work the same way on television? What makes a good villain, and does this season have one? What role should someone take in the acting challenges? And is Ra’Jah saying “An ugly girl could never come for a pretty girl†already iconic? Girl, you better have started listening already!
What the Tuck is produced by Vulture and HeadGum. Make sure you subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen for new episodes dropping every week following each new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11.
