Even though they do look like drawings of attractive animated people in person, Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried are only doing voice roles in an upcoming animated Scooby-Doo movie. Per Deadline, the two actors are playing the charismatic Fred and Daphne in Warner Bros. Animation’s movie, which is set to debut in May 2020. The rest of the cast includes Will Forte as Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, and Frank Welker, the original voice of Fred and the voice of Scooby since 2002, as Scooby himself. The movie, the first Scooby-Doo feature since 2004’s live-action Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which we do not talk about, will have “the Mystery Inc. gang team up with other characters in the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from the evil Dick Dastardly.†All we’re saying is, if we don’t get to see Zac Efron dress up as Fred for the movie, he better have to wear an ascot as part of this movie’s press tour.
