The cast of Game of Thrones have been candid over the years about how psychologically taxing it’s been to star in such a monstrously popular series, including stories about Sophie Turner facing depression and Kit Harington turning to frequent therapy sessions. The latest actor to open up about their not-so-great experience is Daniel Portman, who portrays the lovable squire Podrick in the series — and as he explained to Esquire, certain female fans made his life pretty miserable for a while due to their astounding lack of boundaries.
“I’ve been grabbed by so many … like the amount of like older, older women who are very …†Portman explained, making a grabbing-hand gesture. “What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it. It hasn’t happened for a while. In this day and age you’d think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction. I don’t want to say it comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It’s certainly not cool.†Still, Portman insists it’s been an honor to portray such a beloved (and well-endowed) character. “It’s really not a bad thing,†he joked.
