Netflix has a new animated series in the works about a group of LGBTQ superspies. The streaming network has ordered ten episodes of a new half-hour, adult animated comedy titled Q-Force, which is written by comedian and writer Gabe Liedman (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, PEN15, Broad City) and counts Sean Hayes and The Good Place’s Mike Schur as producers. Both Deadline and TVLine report that Hayes is rumored to voice the lead character in the show, which centers on “a handsome secret agent and his team of fellow LGBTQ superspies. Constantly underestimated by their colleagues, the members of Q-Force have to prove themselves time and again as they embark on extraordinary professional (and personal) adventures.†In addition to writing and executive producing, Liedman will also serve as showrunner on the series.
In related news, Netflix’s newest animated comedy series created by BoJack Horseman’s Lisa Hanawalt, Tuca & Bertie, is slated to debut next month and features the voices of Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong in the starring roles. Check out the latest promo right here.
