Netflix has released the teaser for its darker and edgier Dark Crystal, a property that was already a darker and edgier departure for the Jim Henson Company. As we’ve already reported, hella Brits will be voicing this new Crystal. Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel play Gelfling heroes Rian, Brea, and Deet. The three Gelflings discover the source of the Skeksis’s power, which prompts them to lead the revolution and save their dying world of Thra. We love a climate-change message! The cast is rounded out with the likes of Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. You can join in on the symbolism and puppets when The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance comes to Netflix August 30.
