Seeing the almighty, powerful Thor transform into a depressive alcoholic in Avengers: Endgame might’ve been a tough pill for fans to swallow, but Chris Hemsworth, bless this man, will gleefully talk about “fat Thor” until Mjolnir tells him to shut up. “I got a lot of cuddles,” he recalled on Graham Norton about his 70-pound (!) prosthetic fat suit. “Robert Downey Jr. gave me a fair share of belly rubs. I felt like Santa Claus. There were Avengers on my lap from time to time.” And yes, Hemsworth is very much aware his suit looked real, but he opted out of pulling a De Niro for awards buzz. “That was my full Raging Bull Oscar attempt,” he joked. “It’s my body in six months’ time.”
