David Harbour’s Netflix Comedy Special Looks Delightfully Eerie

Halloween arrives a little early this year thanks to Stranger Things star David Harbour and Netflix. The streaming network announced last month that Harbour will star in a comedy special titled Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein, in which the actor “uncovers lost footage from his father’s televised stage play,†described as an “over-the-top and often dramatic(ish) reimagined tale of mystery and suspense.†The titular fictional made-for-TV play features Alfred Molina, Kate Berlant, and other guest stars, but the true face of the mockumentary is Harbour, who plays himself as well as his late, great, mysterious actor father. The project has some impressive comedy names behind it, including writer John Levenstein (Arrested Development, Kroll Show) and director Daniel Gray Longino (PEN15, Who Is America?). Behold the trailer here, then watch Harbour’s complete journey when it heads to Netflix on Tuesday, July 16.
