Honestly, we’re just happy to write an article about Florida that doesn’t have “gator attack†in the headline. In this delightful trailer for Kirsten Dunst’s long-gestating dark-comedy series On Becoming a God in Central Florida, our gal plays a “minimum-wage-earning water-park employee†who’s eager to partake in the Sunshine State’s most cherished pastime: scamming middle-aged white dudes out of their money. Or rather, she hatches a plan to rise up in the ranks at the fictional Founders American Merchandise, which happens to be “the cultish, flag-waving, multi-billion-dollar pyramid scheme that drove her family to ruin.†We have to wait until August 25 to see Dunst manually pry off those adult braces in her new series, but that is plenty of incentive to be patient.
