The Lord of the Rings TV Series Taps Jurassic World Director J.A. Bayona

Science fiction, meet fantasy. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director Juan Antonio (J.A.) Bayona will direct the first two episodes of Amazon Studios’ new Lord of the Rings series. The filmmaker and his partner, Belén Atienza, will also serve as executive producers. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay (Star Trek 4, Jungle Cruise) serve as developers. The show will take place back in Middle Earth, before the events of The Fellowship of the Ring.
