A trailer for the new season of the show finds the Frasers preparing to go into battle, having settled in their new home in North Carolina, as Claire and Jamie wonder if they might be safe in “the future.†Whatever this may mean, all signs point to more smoldering in period-specific clothing, methinks. The trailer premiered at New York Comic Con, at a panel for the show featuring series stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Duncan Lacroix, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and David Berry, along with executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, and author Diana Gabaldon. Outlander season five premieres on Starz on February 16, 2020.
