Travis Scott continues to reside in the year 3008. While weâre stuck in pandemic purgatory, waiting to see if theaters will be open when Christopher Nolanâs Tenet (finally) comes out, the rapper has already formulated his review. Scott saw the movie to create an exclusive track for the film, and let him be the first to tell you itâs âvery fire.â Scott teased his to-be-titled collab with Tenet composer Ludwig GĂśransson in a new GQ profile just a week before the movie premieres internationally. The song is described as a âbrain-liquefying trip through time and space,â a perfect combination of the man who brought us Inception and the man who held an intergalactic concert in Fortnite. âHis voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle,â Nolan told GQ over email. âHis insights into the musical and narrative mechanism Ludwig GĂśransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound.â The bromance goes both ways. Scott gives Tenet his equivalent of a 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes: âItâs very fire.â âI canât even explain it,â he reviews the movie. âYou literally just have to watch it.â Well, weâre trying. Nolanâs Tenet opens Labor Day weekend in select cities in the United States, complete with a Scott rager to round out the summer.
Update, Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30 a.m.:
Travis Scott and Christopher Nolan finally let us in on âThe Plan.â The original song is officially set to come out this Friday, August 21. âFLAME x CHRIS NOLAN COOK UP THE PLAN FRIDAYâ Scott tweeted with the cover art, a suspended (falling?) John David Washington clipped from the movie. Tuck a napkin in your shirt because weâre about to eat.
