On Sunday night, the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards descended upon Hollywood like Emily descended upon an unsuspecting Paris. It was a later kick off to awards season than usual, but that’s more or less the least abnormal aspect of this year’s entertainment landscape. (Hello, technical difficulties.) With coronavirus measures still in place, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted this year’s ceremony from New York and L.A., respectively, with presenters and nominees spread throughout pretty much the entire western hemisphere. (Seriously, is poor Gillian Anderson in bed yet, or does anyone have eyes on Jason Sudeikis’s tie dye hoodie?) The big winners proved to be Nomadland and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm for film; while The Crown and Schitt’s Creek fared well for television. As the rest of awards season now begins in full swing, read the complete list of the Golden Globe winners below.
