Former Deputy Editor

Economic Growth, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Content Operations, Small Business, Community Development

About

Cassie is a former deputy editor who collaborated with teams around the world while living in the beautiful hills of Kentucky. Focusing on bringing growth to small businesses, she is passionate about economic development and has held positions on the boards of directors of two non-profit organizations seeking to revitalize her former railroad town. Prior to joining the team at Forbes Advisor, Cassie was a content operations manager and copywriting manager.

Fascinated by language and literature from a young age and raised in a family that was constantly involved with building community programs, it was almost inevitable that Cassie would end up on a path that combines her love of the written word with an entrepreneurial spirit. Cassie studied advanced English and Spanish in college and soon landed in a position where these skills could be put to use by publishing content to help small business owners make data-driven decisions to build their enterprises.

For nearly a decade, Cassie has been involved with several non-profit organizations in her community that also match these goals. In 2022, her efforts to boost economic development through these organizations in rural Appalachia were recognized by state officials and she was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. Today, Cassie serves as the treasurer of a rail-based tourism operation in her home state in addition to continually producing high-quality content for small business owners nationwide.
