Talk show interviews can end up as boring, forced affairs, where a funny host has to make conversation with a vapid celebrity or awkward author on to promote their latest project. That was certainly not the case on last night’s Daily Show, where Ricky Gervais and Jon Stewart seemed to be having so much fun just riffing that they could have gone on for an hour. They talk about everything from Jon’s audience to Ricky’s physique to Gordon Brown’s skipping to a potential Stephen Hawking talk show, fitting in a nice jab at Leno in the process. It’s clearly the case of two incredibly funny people who both admire the hell out of each other relishing the opportunity to try to make each other laugh. It’s well worth your seven-and-a-half minutes!
