In a long and wide-ranging conversation at Vulture Festival about her decades-long career as a pro wrestler, life as a theater kid, and her relatively new role of mother, Becky Lynch — whose real name is Rebecca Quin — briefly teased what’s next. Lynch hasn’t been seen in the ring since her loss to Liv Morgan in May, after Dominik Mysterio slammed the door of a steel cage into her face. When prompted to discuss her future in the business, she left the door open for a possible future return without making any promises. “If you think the way I’m gonna go out after the career I’ve had is with Dominik Mysterio slamming a door in my face,†she said. “That’s probably not gonna happen.†She was clear, however, that she has more new projects in the future. “But when will that come back? I don’t know, I don’t know, I’ve really been enjoying myself and working on some projects that I’m very excited about, whenever I get to share them with you, I think they’re pretty awesome,†she said. “I think you’re gonna think they’re pretty awesome.â€

In a less coy moment, she offered that she’s training for a half marathon — if The Man ever does come around to the WWE again, suffice it to say she will have the cardio.
