While some awards were already given out at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Dan and Eugene Levy hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards to hand out even more. Before we enter Oscar season with the fury of a thousand Almodóvar women, we had to bid adieu to discussions of whether or not The Bear’s season-two episode “Fishes†is good or just loud and how, exactly, The Morning Show got so beloved by awards bodies. (“Fishes†won a directing award, but it is still extremely loud.) ShÅgun made history with 18 wins, while Jean Smart took home her sixth Emmy trophy for her leading role on Hacks, which also won Outstanding Comedy Series. The Bear had a pretty good night with 11 Emmy wins, including a first nomination and win for Liza Colón-Zayas. Richard Gadd may have had the best night, though, taking home six Emmys, including one for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and one for Outstanding Lead Actor.
