The Vanderpump Rules season 11 finale ended on a mournful, almost “in memoriam†feel. Footage of cast members sitting down for their first ever confessionals was juxtaposed with the sadder, wiser(?) people they’ve become. Fans wonder if Ariana Madix will return for the show, or if there will even be a show for her to return to. Page Six is now reporting that Lala Kent is in initial talks to join sister series The Valley. But where does that leave the titular Lisa Vanderpump and her rules? Where does the cast of Vanderpump Rules go from here? Vulture wildly speculates.
Send the Toms to The Valley
Tom Schwartz and Sandoval should hitch a ride with Lala to The Valley. The main problem with this season of VPR was the way Sandoval tried to backseat produce a redemption season for himself. Ariana wasn’t feeling it, and neither were viewers particularly. But you know who always makes Tom Sandoval seem less monstrous, at least in comparison? Jax Taylor. Reuniting the boys of VPR would be huge, because they’ve learned nothing and grown very little. They can relitigate who the “number one guy in the group†is until they’re in their 70’s. And you know who’s an ex of Sandoval who would most likely consent to film with him? Kristen Doute. Put her in, coach!
Vanderpump Vegas?
If we can agree that the WeHo version of Vanderpump Rules is washed (and it seems like we can), then lets take this show on the road. Lisa Vanderpump is establishing new restaurants in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe like every other week. A recent opening involved go-go boys in wolf masks and Trixie Mattel. Don’t you want to hear the stories of some of these wolf boys? James Kennedy, Ally Lewber, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies can all globe trot, or at least lake hop, between these new restaurants. It’s just crazy enough to work. Remember, Scandoval in many ways started with an awkward dinner at Vanderpump à Paris.
A Something About Her Spinoff
Lastly there’s the question of what to do with Katie and Ariana. Ariana Madix is booked and busy. Katie Maloney is more interested in protecting her peace. This feels like a perfect time for a limited series spinoff centering on the alleged sandwich shop, Something About Her. Ariana and Katie deserve a little treat after having to film with their exes for so long. A show along the lines of Erika Jayne: Bet it All on Blonde or Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky is just enough time for the sandwich shop to open, then close because Los Angeles wants to repave Robertson Blvd. or something.
