Kevin Spacey has responded to new allegations of sexual harassment against him that were made in the upcoming Channel 4 documentary Spacey Unmasked. In a lengthy interview with Dan Wootton, Spacey acknowledged that he has in the past been “promiscuous,†“flirty,†“annoying at times,†and “definitely persistent†— but denied ever engaging in any illegal behavior. “I take full responsibility for my past behavior and my actions,†the actor said. “But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me.†According to Spacey, he has never locked a door or physically blocked anyone from leaving a room (though he “cried once†to try to get someone to stay). He added that he has never promised to advance anyone’s career in exchange for sexual favors.

Per Variety, Spacey Unmasked will air in two parts in the U.K. on Channel 4 on May 5 and 6. According to The Hollywood Reporter, its U.S. air dates on on Max and Investigation Discovery will be announced next week. The documentary reportedly features interviews with nine people who have never shared their stories before. Their claims are said to span five decades and include allegations of sexual harassment tied to both the House of Cards set and London’s Old Vic Theater.

Spacey, who has previously been cleared in cases in the U.S. and the U.K. of sexual misconduct and sexual assault, respectively, tweeted that Channel 4 offered him a week to provide a response to “anonymized and non-specific†allegations. Deeming that an insufficient amount of time and information to work with, he opted to reply via his interview with Wootton. “I would really love to be above all this and not have to talk about it, go back to my daily life, get back to work,†Spacey said. “But I have finally realized that if I don’t fight back, this will never end.â€
