Ariana Madix is heading to the villa— no, not the Vanderpump Villa and not for a vacation from her busy schedule. And we’ve got a Barbie-themed first look as proof. She’ll be replacing Sarah Hyland as the new host of Love Island USA, as Hyland has a project that “conflicts directly with the shooting dates.†After making a cameo last season, Madix is fully diving into all of the mess from the islanders and taking a break from Tom Sandoval’s housing tantrums. She has probably had the busiest year of any Lisa Vanderpump alum, even after the boom in the popularity of Vanderpump Rules. Post Scandoval, she’s currently getting ready to open a sandwich shop and starring as Roxie in Chicago on Broadway— plus, to Scheana Shay’s dismay, Madix became a finalist on Dancing With The Stars. At some point, we’ll probably hear about Shay’s lifelong dream of hosting a dating competition filled with horny hot people. In the meantime, here’s what we know about Love Island USA season six.
Barbie’s on the mood board.
At least for the first look at Ariana Madix as host, anyway. The 50-second clip shared on May 7 shows Madix leaving “La La Land†and traveling to the island, where she winks and asks, “Who’s ready to couple up?†The Barbie theme is cute … as long as it’s not a sign that there are a bunch of misogynistic Kens in the villa this season.
Where are we going?
Season six is set in Fiji, and will once again be narrated by Iain Stirling. Per Peacock, we can expect “a brand-new, vibrant villa including a spicy Casa Amor and an unforgettable Hideaway†— plus “brand new couples challenges and even a few surprise guests.â€
When can I dive in?
This season of Love Island USA will premiere on June 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock, with new episodes streaming six days a week.
