Love Is Blind is over for now; we can all take a deep breath after the emotional whiplash we experienced in season six. A nice slow, deep … oh, a new season of a Netflix dating show has just been announced. Can we get any rest? Absolutely not, but that’s the magic of TV, baby. Perfect Match, a dating-style competition show where former Netflix reality stars receive a second chance at love, brand deals, and chaos, is getting another season. With the ever-growing roster of reality coming from Netflix, Perfect Match now has even more of an opportunity to serve by casting stars beyond just LIB, Too Hot Too Handle, The Circle, and whatever Sexy Beasts was. Below, everything we know about Perfect Match season two, including the full cast list and new trailer.
Who’s coming back for seconds?
The first three hopefuls from the Love Is Blind universe were announced during the season-six reunion with an attempt to trick audiences into thinking that two of them might be together. Season four’s Micah Lussier, who must’ve appreciated Sarah Ann becoming the new LIB villain, was a capital-M mean girl during her time in the pods, making fun of other women with her BFF Irina Solomonova. Karma came back around when she eventually got dumped at the altar by her fiancé, Paul Peden. Seated next to her was Izzy Zapata from season five, who was also left at the altar by his fiancée, Stacy Snyder, who decided his financial woes and lack of proper dinnerware were too much for her. Lastly, Jessica Vestal comes from the most recent season, in which she told Jimmy Presnell, who chose Chelsea Blackwell in the pods, that he was going to need an EpiPen when he saw her. We hope they packed enough swimsuits.
Who else is headed to the beach?
The Too Hot to Handle hive is extremely strong, taking up a majority of the cast list — if you had to cast from any horny Netflix show — with Elys Hutchinson, Holly Scarfone, Dominique Defoe, Brittan Byrd, Nigel Jones, Stevan Ditter, Melinda Melrose, Christine Obanor, and Harry Jowsey, who was also on Dancing With the Stars this season. From Dated and Related, we have Alara Taneri, Chris Hahn, and Kaz Bishop. Lone-wolf cast members from their shows include Perfect Match alum Dom Gabriel (also from The Mole), Jake Cunningham (The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On), Justin Assada (Surviving Paradise), Xanthi Perdikomatis (The Circle), Bryton Constantin (Squid Game: The Challenge), and Tolú Ekundare (The Trust). And, uh, remember Trevor from the most recent season of Love Is Blind? The one who allegedly had a girlfriend the whole time? He’s here, too.
Does Perfect Match address Trevor’s controversy?
Not based on the trailer, which he hardly appears in. It’s not confirmed when they filmed, but it was most likely before the Love Is Blind season-six reunion when it all went down.
Match me with a trailer, please!
There’s plenty of lap dancings and toe-sucking (?) in the new trailer for season two, with some people pulling all the punches to be declared the Perfect Match.
When does the Perfect Match season two air?
Get set: Perfect Match is back on Netflix this summer with the first six episodes airing on Friday, June 7.
