How much is 45.6 billion won worth, really? Is it enough to keep people in a dangerous game, or enough to keep a showrunner interested in masterminding endless seasons of a successful TV show? Well, after season two of Squid Game premiered on the day after Christmas, we now have an answer for at least one of the questions. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has confirmed the fate of the Squid Game series and when and how it will wrap up in a neat but most likely bloody bow.
Ok, but seriously: how much is 45.6 billion won in USD?
About $31 million dollars.
What do we know about season 3?
Not a lot, unfortunately. However, Donk-hyuk teased just enough to Variety to keep us wanting (or honestly begging) for more, sharing, “With each episode it’s going to get better. With each season it’s going to get better and a more expanded story, more intense story, and definitely more entertaining. So just be sure to watch it until the very end!” He also confirmed to IGN that the rest of the series will be focused on “what happens to Gi-hun” after his fate at the end of season 2.
Is this the final season of Squid Game?
Yes. Dong-hyuk confirmed in a letter to fans that season three is the final season of the series, promising a final battle with a clear winner. He writes, “Seong Gi-hun who vowed revenge at the end of Season 1 returns and joins the game again. Will he succeed in getting his revenge? Front Man doesn’t seem to be an easy opponent this time either. The fierce clash between their two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.”
When does Squid Game season 3 come out?
It will premiere sometime in 2025 on Netflix.
