Exploring Barcelona with Lola
Hello, I am Lola and I live in Barcelona - Vivo en Barcelona.
I live with my mum - mi madre - and my dad - mi padre.
I have a brother, but he's living in Canada for school; I miss him a lot.
We live in an old apartment in San Gervasi.
Most people in Barcelona live in apartments and many of them are old and are all different styles.
The apartment is only ten minutes from my school, this means I don't have to get up too early in the mornings.
Once I'm ready, I leave the house to go and meet my friend, Mariona, who lives round the corner.
Mariona and I walk to school together.
I like walking to school with Mariona because we can talk about things and have a laugh.
My favourite subject in school is Science - mi materia favorita en la escuela son las ciencias - because I love my teacher.
He's very enthusiastic and fun and made me enjoy the subject.
On Wednesdays, I go to my grandparents' house - casa de mis abuelos - to have lunch because on this day school finishes early.
All my school friends know my grandmother because she comes to school every other day.
She's a bit of a local celebrity; all my friends love her.
It is common for Spanish families to live close together so we can visit often and my grandparents live across the road from my school.
I love spending time with my grandparents.
In Spain, many families spend lots of time together as family time is very important to our culture.
We eat lunch together, which is normally eggs, meat and rice.
After eating we play games together.
My grandpa normally wins.
