Christians believe they have a duty to show care to others, both inside and outside of the church.
They choose to look after each other in many different ways. This includes listening and reading teachings from the Bible, to running community events and celebrating religious festivals throughout the year.

Watch: Find out how Hannah shows care in her community as a Christian
Video that explores some of the ways Hannah shows care in her community.
Hannah: Hi, I’m Hannah, and I’m a Christian.
We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ which are written down in the Bible.
Christians believe that one of Jesus’s most important teachings is that you should love your neighbour in the same way that you love yourself.
Jesus uses the word love to mean to be caring, kind and forgiving. When he says neighbour, he means everyone.
Our church is an important part of the village where Christians come together. Other people can come too. There are helpful groups for people of all ages.
People from the church help at the school and at events in the village.
In the autumn, for the Harvest Festival, we do a special collection. We decorate the church to give thanks to God for all the good things he has given us. We also bring gifts of food, which is shared with people who need it.
The children get to help the ministers, and sometimes we help to collect money for charity.
Our church members also hold different events.
Like the village barbecue that we have every year.
Everyone in the village is welcome.
It’s really fun and helps to bring the community together!
