Energy resources are not equally distributed globally.  Energy production is relative to the amount of resource available and the money available to exploit it.

Global demand for energy is rising. Developed countries continue to consume huge amounts of energy while demand is increasing in developing countries.

To meet increasing global energy demands and reduce environmental impact, countries around the world will need to combine renewable and non-renewable energy sources.
