We received complaints from people who felt Paddy O’Connell demonstrated bias when responding to Adjoa Andoh’s explanation of a comment she had made while appearing on ITV’s coverage of the Coronation.
Our response
While discussing coverage of the Coronation during our news review, Adjoa Andoh explained the context of a comment she had made the previous day, while appearing on ITV’s coverage of the event. Paddy O’Connell’s response to Ms Andoh wasn’t intended to downplay anyone’s viewpoint. We realise Ms Andoh’s remark had provoked a debate, which is why she chose to address it.
