We know, it’s sad not having the Yankees in the World Series, and we’re just going to have to make our peace with it. (Look, it’s a lovely day outside! For example.) The World Series is still happening, even without the Yankees, which means we had to fire up ye olde PlayStation 3 and MLB 10: The Show and simulate the thing, like we have every other series. Put your money on the Giants, our PS3 says. In a wild series that featured six Josh Hamilton homers, the Giants ended up winning Game 7 with a final score of 6-1, thanks to seven shutout innings by Tim Lincecum and a six-run third inning off Colby Lewis, culminating in a three-run homer by Edgar Renteria, a World Series hero again. Congrats to the Giants, who now obviously have nothing to worry about. Our PS3 will now go into storage until the NFL playoffs.
