What are you doing today?
I’m meeting a girlfriend from school for lunch. We go to Boston University, but we’re on summer break. I’m from New York.
What do you study?
Photojournalism. Ideally I’d like to do something like shoot for a travel company and make booklets. Whatever, as long as fashion and travel are involved.
Which photographers do you admire?
I like Tyler Hicks, I guess, but I wouldn’t want to do war zones.
What’s your style?
I’m 20 years old, and I can totally look like I’m in my late twenties, or I can look like I’m still in my teen years. I can be bohemian, I can be chic. I can be anything.
What are you today?
I’m sort of nautical because of the tank top. It’s Ya-Ya from Intermix. The shorts used to be True Religion jeans till I cut them, and my sunglasses are Marc Jacobs.
Do you shop a lot?
I’m a very good shopper. My philosophy is that if you don’t want to wear it that day or that night, then don’t buy it. I just bought this jacket at Bergdorf Goodman; it’s from that vintage company What Comes Around Goes Around. I tried it on, shopped in it, and eventually just bought it and wore it out of the store.
Where do you like to go out?
There’s a lounge I go to called Double Seven. They don’t let everybody in, which I like.
Who are your style icons?
Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. And I like Keira Knightley, though I’m not sure if I like her style. I like her mannerisms.
How’s style at BU?
A lot of kids wear sweatpants, and I’ve never understood that look. I feel like every day you should wear an outfit. In Boston especially, people don’t know how to dress, so a lot of times when I’m walking down the street, people say they like what I’m wearing. It’s just about grabbing attention.
