What do you do?
I am a former investment banker. Now I refer to myself as an international woman of leisure. I love being in Europe, in spite of the fact that the euro is so high. It just means that shopping in Milan is not as much fun as it used to be.

Why did you quit banking?
The most important thing to me is being happy every single day, waking up in the morning excited, and that just wasn’t happening. The lifestyle you lead is terrible. You have to make so many sacrifices. There’s no dollar amount I can put on missing my little sister’s birthday.

Did you like your colleagues?
Well, let’s just say I didn’t mingle.

Would you ever date a banker?
I tend to stay away from investment-banking guys because I now know exactly what those guys are like. They’re like, “Multibillion-dollar deals turn me on, that’s all I need from life.” They all have this saying: “Livin’ the life with models and bottles.” They don’t change before they go out because they think girls dig them in their suits: “Oh yeah, I’m a banker, my ’Berry’s blowing up.” It’s not appealing.

So what are you going to do now?
I’ve been denying it, but I think I might belong in fashion. I can’t think of anything more exciting than clothes. And accessories.

What are your favorites?
I can be very girlie, or I can get glammed out with a red Chanel bag or obnoxious Pucci shoes. I just like to look great in whatever I wear.

What’s this outfit?
This is just a shopping outfit. My leopard cashmere sweater is probably as outlandish as I get. And it’s a Chanel bag and Bottega boots: I tend to like the really expensive shoes and bags, but with clothes I like the better-priced, contemporary stuff, like from Intermix or Bergdorf’s contemporary floor. Little black dresses are a must. I’m wearing this one with leggings now, for shopping, but it’s really versatile: Lose the leggings after midnight, you know? When you’re ready to party.
