Americans Remain Traumatized by the Debt-Ceiling Crisis

New polls suggest that July’s endless debate over the debt ceiling left the population “lacking any confidence in the ability of political leaders to agree on significant steps to boost the economy.” One survey showed that only 33 percent of Americans trusted Obama to make good decisions on the economy, while 18 percent think that congressional Republicans are up to the task.
