In Google executive chairmen Eric Schmidt’s new book, he claims that “The Internet is among the few things humans have built that they don’t truly understand,” but on Tuesday’s Colbert Report he learned that isn’t quite true. “What do you mean we don’t understand the Internet?” said Colbert, explaining, “The Internet is a series of tubes.” What Colbert doesn’t get is the appeal of certain Google innovations. He wants a Google Glass (and couldn’t come up with a rude tweet and $1,500, apparently), but he doesn’t see the point of Google’s driverless car. “I already have a car that drives me,” he said. “His name is Hernando.”
