The gun-store source of the AR-15 assault rifle and a handgun used in the Newtown killings finally lost its license, but only after “over 500 violations” stemming from inspections in 2007, 2009, and 2011, according to newly released ATF documents. Among the screw-ups: selling to a felon; leaving background checks until the next day; and not doing checks at all. The ATF said it revoked just one percent of gun-selling licenses last year.
