A day after he mocked New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Congressman Peter King for being all “gimme, gimme, gimme — give me all my Sandy money now,” Senator Rand Paul (who voted against Sandy aid) says he plans to stop by New York on a fund-raising trip and really rub it in the local guys’ faces. Paul intends to visit the Women’s National Republican Club on Aug. 13, and then presumably slip out the back door, as we’ve no doubt King, who boxes in his spare time, will be fuming somewhere nearby.
