
Last month, Christie appointee David Samson resigned from his job as chairman of the Port Authority — a decision he said had nothing at all to do with Bridgegate or any other scandals. On Tuesday, the New Jersey governor announced that he had nominated John Degnan to replace Samson. Like his predecessor, Degnan is a former New Jersey attorney general. Unlike him, he is a Democrat. Credentials aside, we assume he knows what he’s getting into.
