Profile

The tranquil, trip hop production duo Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, who mixed their way to fame via the Garden State soundtrack, did it again with an album of remixes, plus a few new original tunes, on Versions. The DC avant-garde DJs have been churning out downtempo, global-inspired sounds since 1995, self-producing and independently distributing all of their albums from their own Eighteenth Street Lounge (ESL) label. They play SummerStage with Bebel Gilberto, Federico Aubele, and Turntables on the Hudson. — Elizabeth Cline
