Think of this weekly video-game night as a postmodern Super Bowl party. It's got cheap wings and discounted pitchers. Guys with upturned collars on pleather couches give throaty unhs and aahs in the direction of the flat-screen. Yet the Big Game is virtual and the competitors are on the premisesï¿½pairs of wand wielders sign up right after work and battle it out in tennis or bowling, Nintendo style. For now, the action is low-key with most players guaranteed a chance to play.
