This Soho boutique, Carhartt’s first in New York, features durable clothing for men seeking the brand’s classic style with a European fit. The 800-square-foot space, cast in dark hardwood and industrial metal, upholds the ideal of American toughness that been synonymous with the brand’s identity for over 120 years, and while most of the clothes come in muted blues, blacks and grays, a neon pink Carhartt sign on the wall offers a bright splash of color. The handpicked selection of high-quality, traditional goods, takes the original workwear cuts Carhartt is known for and reinterprets them for downtown New York.
