If you are a teenage girlor know someone who fits that descriptionhead directly to this packed, sub-street-level shop for a nirvana of feather boas, glittery jewelry, hair accessories, and similar fashion must-haves. Don’t let the name mislead you; it may sound like a source for pole dancers and wannabes, GirlPROPS is the mother (or daughter) -lode of fishnets, gloves, and chunky, retro plastic ringsgreat, glam trappings for a babe’s night out. The bright, cheerfully gaudy boutique stands out among its refined Prince Street neighbors with a zebra-print exterior and scores of cheap bracelets, necklaces and earrings, all bedazzled with sequins, rhinestones, and spangles galore. There’s actually more here than meets the eye: Racks are draped heavy, and careful shoppers will be rewarded with brightly patterned scarves, unusual hosiery, club-ready netted gloves, and staggeringly big barrettes; there are also sunglasses and an entire jewelry line themed around tropical fruit. Appropriately, the speakers blare songs like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." Carmen Miranda would’ve had a blast.
