Similar to its sister location in Soho, Saturdays West Village has an espresso bar, a shoe collection (it includes Saturdays designed pieces along with classic Vans) and a selection of effortlessly stylish clothing in basic colors that is more surfer-inspired than made for actual surfers. However, there are indeed a number of surfboards in stockï¿½brands such as T. Patterson, Fowler, Christenson are all represented, as is Almond, the store’s bestseller. The vintage ads and artwork that adorn the walls are particular treasures, specifically a Woody Allen ID poster printed in Hebrew with the famous New Yorker’s mug shot aligned with what looks like an interpretation of the Israeli flag. — Daniel A.
