Profile
This bedazzled concept shop opened in June 2009 as a joint store, café, and DIY space, where shoppers can create customizedcrystallizedjewelry. Crystals embellish every surface in the sprawling, bi-level space, glowing from overhead lights, spelling out "Endless Possibilities" and "A Space to Create" in shimmering script along the walls, and cascading for two stories from an elaborate chandelier. The crystals for creating custom jewelry line a full wall in a sparkling spectrum of colors and shapes, from floral pendants to faux pearls. (Clasps, pliers, kits, and other hardware are also available.) Glass cases are filled with ready-made commissioned creations from designers like Christopher Kane and Kenneth Jay Lane. The caramel-colored café on the ground floor features dozens of tables and serves desserts, snacks, and drinks. In back, a flight of stairs leads from the main level to the basement-level gallery, exhibiting various Swarovski-decked pieces from the brand's archive, like glittering handbags and shoes by Inge Christopher, Stuart Weitzman, Nicholas Kirkwood, and Coccinelle.
