Just down the street from the 99-cent stores and bodegas shaded by the JMZ-train tracks, Yoko Devereaux's Williamsburg storefront seems unassuming by comparison: black doors, plate glass, and a few painted designs on the window. The high-end men's clothing inside, from designer and proprietor Andy Salzer, is equally understated. But the classic lines of the dressy vests, deep v-neck t-shirts, and slim ties lend them an urbane feel well suited to upwardly mobile types. Cardigans, money clips, and hand-cut antique coin pendants all seem like finds from a well-dressed gentleman’s estate sale�and are priced accordingly. — Andrew Cleary
