The Custo Barcelona fashion empire was created in the 1980s after the brothers Custo and David Dalmau went on a round-the-world motorcycle trip and came back impressed by the California lifestyle, especially the colorful and innovative T-shirts that didn't exist in Spain at that time. Signature Custo Barcelona knits and t-shirts are screen-printed in bright colors with unique illustrations and intricate details such as embroidery, foil and metal graphics. The brothers continue to expand their horizons, having recently expanded to include handbag and denim lines. The Custo Barcelona line is available in no less than 30 countries, enjoying a particularly strong presence in Europe and Australia. Custo's celebrity following includes Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Christina Aguilera, Penelope Cruz and Sandra Bullock.
