Iranian-born Michael Soheil first became interested in
fashion watching his grandmother teach sewing classes. From
Grandma's knee, it was Parsons School of Design in New York,
which Soheil left just a few credits short of graduation to
study at Esmod in Paris. His Spring 2002 line was a highlight
of the Vogue-sponsored group fashion show for young designers
whose presentations were canceled after September 11.
