A man has been charged after a stinger device was used to end a police pursuit in Aberdeen.

Reports were received of a car being driven erratically, and with no number plates being displayed, on Wednesday afternoon.

The vehicle was traced to Auchmill Road but Police Scotland said it failed to stop for officers. The car was pursued before officers deployed a stinger device on Back Hilton Road, which brought the car to a stop.

Police Scotland said a 27-year-old man was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
